History
Faith Presbyterian’s roots go all the way back to 1890 when 21 people formed the United Presbyterian Church in Findlay, Ohio. They first met in the old Presbyterian Church, which is now the site of the Marathon Petroleum Corporation. In 1893, they built the south wing for a new church building located on the southwest corner of S. West and W. Sandusky streets. In 1907, they built the north section of the building. This was a beautiful structure that served them for many years, but the water problems made them decide to build a new structure.
In October 1969, they held their last service in the old structure and moved to the new building on Norcrest St. The name was changed to Norcrest Presbyterian Church. In 2006, they sold the Norcrest building to the New Life Assembly of God and moved to the spacious facilities in the Wilkin Center for Christian Ministries at 700 E. Melrose, the present location. They changed their name to Faith Presbyterian Church.
